Ten Years of Millstone! $10 Burgers!

Ten years ago, we opened the doors at our very first location at 250 Baker Drive in Dartmouth with a simple idea: create a welcoming, relaxed community gathering place where everyone felt at home.

A place where you could come alone or with a crowd. With colleagues, friends, family, on dates, after a game, to watch the game —or all of the above.  A place for elevated pub fare, incredible craft beer, great wine and cocktails, fair prices, and service that keeps you coming back.

And here we are—10 years later—still doing exactly that, only bigger, bolder, and more grateful than ever.

What began as one neighbourhood pub has grown into four Millstone Public House locations, plus one brand-new sister concept, The Commons on Portland. Along the way, we’ve grown from a team of just 25 staff to more than 140 incredible people who bring their A-game every single day and truly make these restaurants shine.

Some of our team members have been with us since day one. Some have moved on to exciting new opportunities but still pop in to say hello.  And many have joined us along the way, adding their own energy, talent, and heart to the Millstone story.

Every single one of them has helped shape who we are today—and we couldn’t be prouder.

Most importantly, we couldn’t have done any of this without you.

As if that wasn’t enough, we’re also thrilled to be participating in Dine Around Halifax this month at all four locations.  February is the perfect time for comforting favourites—think hearty soups, satisfying sandwiches, and the long-awaited return of a guest favourite:  our much-loved Braised Beef Dip.
